Green Belt:

As a plant pushes through the ground, it changes to green, and this color represents growth as the student starts to understand and develop direction.

Taegeuk Sah Jang (4)
Students must learn this form for promotion to 5th Gup / Green Belt with Blue Stripe:

JIN

The symbol of Tae geuk Sah Jang is Jin meaning thunder, undeniable power and dignity. As the power comes from the concentrated energy, the actions in the form must be dynamic and focused. There are more advanced movements in this Poomsae such as double knifehand block, fingertip thrust, swallow stance knifehand strike, consecutive sidekicks, and cross stance back fist. To prepare for Kyorugi practice, there are more transitional movements to help you improve body shifting and coordination.
This is for the 5th Gup.
There are 20 movements.

The Tae Geuk poomse follow all eight trigrams with a pattern of three linear lines in plan view. An attempt to equate each form with one of the eight primary trigrams as a way to underpin the philosophy of tae kwon do to forms practice.

Harmony is created by balance between two opposing forces.
